I now understand that there are two common meanings of the term STEM.
1. The collection of subjects evoked by the acronym: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. It's a way of talking about these four subjects as a group.
2. An approach to curriculum which is based on problem-solving and design challenges which emphasize group projects, an iterative approach, and an integrated project based approach to these four subjects.
